This project was based around atoms and how our families relate to them, hence the title of the project. For this project I didn't specifically have someone to work with so it was an independent project. Yet, I did give a lot critique as well as receive some really good feedback which really pushed my work to the next level. I think the thing that really benefited the most was my writing. It is so helpful to have a pair of fresh eyes look over something you have looked upon tediously for hours. In physics, I didn't really work with other people yet I did get some help from my peers when I was confused about the science behind the atom and the requirements for the projects.
I learned a lot during this project and I'm really glad we did it. Not only did I learn academically, but I also learned things about me and the things I enjoy, thanks to this project. I put a lot of effort into this project to ensure that my final project was what I really wanted and that it was at its's best quality, In terms of work ethic, I'd say I was pretty consistent throughout the entire project, and I never let open work time go to waste. Like I said before, there wasn't much collaboration in this project but I did try to collaborate as much as possible. My Oral Communication was pretty good during this project, For example, during the exhibition I tried really hard to be thurough with my speaking. I also took a challenge option to read my writing at Barnes and noble. As for my written communication, I really put a lot of effort into it. I put a lot of meaning into my work and it was nything but shallow. My content was consistent and I put a lot of work into it to make sure I was satisfied with the final project.
Something I learned during this project was that even if you give really good critique some people might not take it as seriously. I genuinely enjoy seeing other people's work benefit. I demonstrated empathy during this project by not getting upset when I din't receive the greatest critique. I showed respect towards others by being attentive and listening when they shared out their writing. I was responsible because I was careful with other people's atom models, because I knew how much work everyone put into it. I showed grit when I kept working on my atom model by creating a second model because I wasn't satisfied with the first one I created. I showed Integrity because I was honest with my critique yet not hurtful, just helpful.
Personally, the exhibition went very well for me even if It was supposed to be a small one. For me, I had a lot people visit my work which gave me a lot of opportunity to benefit how I described it. My final outcome I think was really great and even though It looked pretty similar to all the others it just something a little different, which I'm really glad about.
